Thank you to all of you who visited my recent exhibition of bronze sculptures in Holt, Norfolk. I thought the show looked very good, with two of my newest bronzes, 'Our World' and '4C', included. Debbie George's paintings were very beautiful on the walls and I was really pleased to share the exhibition with her.

That closed last week and I am still waiting to hear from the Royal Academy whether my sculpture 'Our World' will be shown, or not, in the Summer Exhibition. It opens for 'varnishing day' on June 1st... I hope to be there... putting in for it really does feel a gamble. I 'm afraid I do mind if I don't get in, I don't like being turned down for things.

Fortunately I have lots of other exhibitions on over this period to keep me busy. Tuesday the 12th May sees the opening of the '20 Group' show 'Voicing Visions', here in Norwich, where the collaboration between poets and visual artists has been so exciting and successful. See my invitation below!

Thompson's Gallery in Aldeburgh opens their next show on 13th May. The 16th May sees Thompsons Gallery, from Marylebone, showing more of my sculptures at Chelsea Flower Show for 6 days - their first time at Chelsea Flower Show. I wonder how it will look.

I may not get to Chelsea to see, so if you do, send me a snap of their garden so I can see how it looks, please!

You are invited to the Private View at St Margaret's Church, St Benedicts Street, Norwich, Norfolk, on Tuesday 12th May, 7.30 - 9.30. Opening by George Szirtes at 8pm.

I shall be showing the sculpture 'Balance' (sorry, it's the original ceramic - hadn't time to recast for this show) and 'Homage to Botero'. And the poet I had the pleasure of pairing with, is Lisa Donofrio.

Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2009

I have submitted sculpture again to the Royal Academy Summer Show and, like last year, have been 'selected'- this time with my new sculpture 'Our World ' - as yet I do not know if it will be 'hung'. So apologies that I can't yet tell you to look out for my work! No doubt will I hear just at the last minute whether it has been included or not....

Chelsea Flower Show 2009

Thompsons Gallery will be having a garden at Chelsea this year. They will be showing several of my bronzes, including 'Butterfly' - in a deep dark rich patina and 'Neo Geo', which looks great outside! If you go look out for my sculptures!
