The Affordable Art Fair Hampstead Heath

Fine Art Consultancy will be showing many more of my sculptures at this fair.

'We're delighted to be launching a North London Affordable Art Fair. Taking place the week after its big sister in Battersea Park, the new fair will bring together an impressive line up of contemporary UK galleries, and affordable artworks, all in the idyllic setting of Hampstead Heath.'

Top Norfolk Sculptors at Wymondham Arts Centre

September 20th to Sunday October 2nd

Norwich sculptor, Ros Newman is curating, Evocations an exhibition featuring work from 12 of Norfolk’s top sculptors, a special autumn show at Wymondham Arts Centre, Norfolk.

Evocations runs from Tuesday, September 20 to Sunday, October 2, open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 12noon to 5pm, free entry.

Sculptors featured in the show are Andrew Campbell, Chedgey, Polly Cruse, Mark Haywood, David Holgate, Rachael Long, Ros Newman, Vanessa Pooley, Joanna Reynolds, Ann Richardson, Louise Richardson, and Chris Wade.

Affordable Art Fair, London
21-24 October

Whether you are looking for the perfect painting to go over the mantelpiece or the next Murakami, amongst the 120 galleries you will find artwork to suit every taste and pocket.

Alongside established names such as Norman Ackroyd, Howard Hodgkin and Bridget Riley, there are pieces by the stars of tomorrow, recently graduated from the likes of the Slade, RCA and Central St Martins. You will also see sculptures from Vanessa.

King of Hearts Closing Exhibition

The last exhibition in the Gallery at The King of Hearts in Norwich. It comprises 20 invited artists who have exhibited in the Gallery before. Vanessa will be showing bronzes of ' A Whisper in the Trees' and 'Our World'.

Art San Diego 2010: The Forum for Art
2-5 September, 2010

This event will feature: 40 leading contemporary art galleries; solo exhibitions by the world's most exciting new artists; collaborative exhibitions with the 2010 San Diego Art Prize Recipients; ART LABS featuring installations in locations at the fair and city-wide; ART SAN DIEGO CONVERSATIONS which will focus on the collection and the acquisition of art. Landmark

As promised, another exciting exhibition of contemporary art by Norfolk artists organised by the North Norfolk Exhibition Project in the iconic Salthouse Church on the North Norfolk coast.

The exhibition is open every day (and a couple of evenings).

For this exhibition I plan to show a trio of angels, including Eco-Angel, These angels will be placed quietly in niches on the wall. One angel is praying, one trying to communicate to us, and one warning of the dangers the Earth faces.

Launched in 2008, the Salthouse Sculpture Trail followed further success in 2009.

Spring Exhibition with the Norwich Twenty Group
11– 21 May, 2010

The idea behind this spring’s exhibition is to give members within the 20 group an opportunity to collaborate in pairs. For this show I am collaborating with the artist Andrew Schumann.

I have made a small stubby angel with its arms/wings aloft. It will stand in front of Andrew’s exquisitely simple relief of flat, blue, circular forms. 'Quantum Field 4’ (a piece made of painted MDF in oak frame).

Chelsea Flower Show 2009

Thompsons Gallery will be having a garden at Chelsea this year. They will be showing several of Vanessa's bronzes, including 'Butterfly' and 'Neo Geo'.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the ultimate event in the gardening year. It sets the latest gardening trends, features the newest and most desirable gardening products and creates an explosion of colours and scents.'

Voicing Visions – Eighty Leading Norwich Artists and Poets Combine
11 - 23 May 2009

More than 40 N20G members – painters, sculptors and print makers – have been twinned with local poets, who have written poems inspired by the works of art. Nearly 100 collaborations will be on display at St Margaret’s.

N20G is publishing an accompanying Voicing Visions book, featuring photographs of the artists’ work set alongside their ‘twins’’ poems. The book will include a CD of the poems read by the poets. The CD will show an image of each accompanying painting, sculpture or print, as the viewer listens to the poetry on their computer.

The recorded poetry will also be put on MP3 players, to give visitors to the exhibition the option of listening to the poetry as they contemplate the art.  

Vanessa will be showing the bronze 'Balance' with a poem by Lisa D'Onofrio. She is an Italian-Australian living in England. She's worked in community arts and reader and writer development for twenty years. Lisa recently project led on building a Sitooterie for Blickling Hall and was the originator of the Poetry Vending Machine.

Chelsea Art Fair

Chelsea Art Fair brings the very best of contemporary and 20th-century art to the Old Town Hall. Over 40 well-known British and international galleries offer paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures and ceramics.

A Two Person Show, Bronzes by Vanessa Pooley, Paintings by Debbie George

Including about 15 bronzes both small and large. The chance to see the first of a new series of Vanessa's small 'back-bending' sculptures cast especially in time for this show, titled 'Our World' .

She's also hoping to show a newly commissioned Mother and Child sculpture which is a bit different to the previous crouching series.... Showing alongside beautiful  paintings in gesso by Debbie George; a quiet and sensitive combination of landscape and still-life.
